Podology starts where foot care stops being cosmetic. If a nail grows back into the skin after every trim, if a corn returns despite the plasters, if a nail has changed colour or thickened — these things do not resolve on their own. The earlier we look at them, the simpler and cheaper the treatment.
Common signs it is time to book: pain when walking or in narrow shoes, a red or swollen nail fold, callus that keeps returning in the same spot, cracked heels, a thickened or yellowing nail, a wart on the sole. With diabetes or rheumatic conditions the foot needs careful, regular attention — even a small wound can heal badly.
We start by talking and looking at your feet. Before I do anything, I want to know how long the problem has been there and what you have already tried. Then I explain the treatment and the price; I do not begin until you know what it costs. The treatment usually takes up to an hour, in a sterile room, with instruments that are autoclaved or single-use. At the end you get aftercare advice and, if needed, a follow-up appointment.
For most people a visit every 6 to 8 weeks works well. With recurring problems, every 4 to 6 weeks until things settle.
Indicative prices are listed under prices. The final cost is set after I have seen your feet, because the amount of work varies. The practice is at Kabelstraat 1 in Almere, open Monday to Friday from 16:00 to 19:00 and Saturday from 9:00 to 19:00. You can be seen in English, Dutch or Polish.
I treat clients from across Flevoland — from Almere, Lelystad and the surrounding area — as well as the 't Gooi region.
